Chris Matthews , Rudy Giuliani and a Racial Slur

Chris Matthews has two problems. First he believes he is a good talker and second he believes he is smart. Problem is, Chris Matthews is neither.

And yet at the same time, there's a little bit of cunning in Matthews' plan. The MSNBC might yammer on about just about everything, but he abides by a few ground rules. And so for example, one recent object of Matthews' attack-yammering was Rudy Giuliani. It's safe enough to trash Italian-Americans, as opposed to, say, African-Americans.

This is true despite what John Brown or ducky believe.
It's called a double standard.

If Joe Biden says something that's not 100% p.c. about Barack Obama, the Delaware Senator is clobbered, but if Matthews invokes "fascism" in discussing Giuliani, an Italian-American, the MSNBC anchorman gets away with it.

Here is an exchange between Matthews and Rudy supporter former congresswoman Susan Molinari:

Matthews: "He got the pee smell out of the phone booths in New York. Even phone booths that aren't booths, they're just a place to make a phone call, had that smell about them before. I think I've been to New York enough times -- he did clean up that atmosphere in New York."

Molinari: "You bet he did. He stopped making excuses for people. . . "

Matthews, interrupting: "Was he a little bit of a Fascist?"

No big deal right?

No big deal if you don't mind offending someone named Molinari or Giuliani or any other Italian-American.

But that's Chris Matthews for you--no wonder he has such a following among partisan Democrats.
I wonder if you know who has a poster of Chris Matthews hanging over his bed?

While I don't often sit down and listen or watch tv, one day I was channel surfing and Matthews came on. I had to turn him off. Frankly, I think he is boring. I feel the same for VanSustern over on Fox.

Ducky, try the goatee on for size.

I thought it was because lefties think anyone who is hard on a criminal is evil.

Chris Matthews is just reciting the pre-9/11 NYC moonbat mantra.

I know one of his former publicists and from what she said, he's every bit the dimwitted blowhard, you'd expect.

JB,

You support the fascist Iraqi insurgency that is led by Baathist thugs and Sunni Islamist supremist terrorists.

So how can you call Guiliani a fascist?

You are off your rocker...

You know NOTHING about the politics of the Iraqi Resistance, FN, because Uncle Sam's propaganda is all you hear. Sam's propagandists remain 'embedded' behind the walls of his fortress in Baghdad.

To call the people resisting Uncle Sam's genocidal slaughter in Mesopotamia 'fascist' demonstrates a real, abject ignorance about the connection beween politics and the material world.

This is so exciting. We are about to witness the biggest contrast in ideology for President of the United States in our history.

One one side we have Hussein Obama. A guy who an IL Senate colleague of his said had a voting record "to the left of Mao Tse Tung." A guy who has a perfect 100 voting record from the Marxist ADA. A guy who attended a Madrassa in Indonesia as a child for 4 years and has an Islamic surname.

Contrast this with Rudy Giuliani, a libertarian Republican, fiscally conservative yet socially tolerant. Plus, Pro-Defense and Anti-Islamo-Fascist. A guy who told a Saudi Prince to shove his $10 million up his ass. A guy who the NY Times called a "budget slashing, privatizing Ayn Randian."

Folks you can't get a more extreme contrast than that. Leftwing Fascist versus a Freedom-loving Patriotic Libertarian Republican.

I tell you what I do know about the Iraq Resistance, Mr. Brown.

Those 130+ victims of the car bombing the other weekend was celebrated by the Baathist mouthpiece at Uruknet. Of which, you hold in high regard.

So tell me Johnny, how far are you willing to tow the party line?...

What do you think about Saddam Hussein?
