Sending The Wrong Message
Nancy Pelosi, by holding talks with the Syrian government, is emboldening enemies of the United States and sending them the message that the U.S. is divided in its support for the war on terror.
But she is also sending out a more basic message.
Wearing her scarf of female submission, US Democrat Speaker of the House entered Islamic Syria during the week prior to Easter. Personally, I was surprised that she didn't don a full burqa. Pelosi has reinforced the Islamic belief that women are the property of their fathers or husbands.

Father murders daughter in new Jordan honor crime

AMMAN -- A prosecutor has charged a Jordanian man with murdering his daughter for "honor" after forcing her to undergo an abortion for a pregnancy out of wedlock, the Jordan Times reported Tuesday.
The criminal prosecutor charged the 68-year-old suspect with premeditated murder after he shot dead his 26-year-old daughter Monday "for reasons related to family honor," the daily said.
The victim was shot six times in the head and the neck and when police arrived at their home, the suspect "fired several rounds in the air, saying he was celebrating the killing of his daughter," one official said.
"I have cleared the family's name and cleansed my honor," the official quoted the suspect as saying, the newspaper said.
According to the report, the victim was allegedly involved with a married man and two weeks ago her family discovered she was pregnant.
"The family ... arranged for her to undergo an abortion and an operation to restore her virginity," and then locked her up at home before the suspect shot her dead, the source said.
The victim was the seventh woman reportedly murdered in a so-called "honor crime" in conservative Muslim Jordan since January, the daily said.
Kuwaiti father slit his daughter's throat

KUWAIT CITY -- A Kuwaiti father who killed his 13-year-old daughter by slitting her throat was Saturday ruled "not responsible for his actions" and ordered to undergo psychiatric treatment.
The court ruling, which can be appealed, was based on a report by a special medical commission which concluded that he was mentally ill.
Adnan Al Enezi, 40, blindfolded and handcuffed his daughter Asmaa in January 2005 before murdering her because he thought she was no longer a virgin.
During the killing, Enezi changed the first knife for another with a sharper blade while his daughter bled and screamed in pain and as her two brothers and a sister looked on.
Forensic examinations later proved that Asmaa was still a virgin.

Ahhhhh....The religion of peace. If Pelosi keeps this up, honor killings will soon be coming to a theatre near you.
I could care less what a woman wears on her head, EXCEPT that the hijab, burqa, etc., symbolize submission and subservience.
Pelosi, in her leftist dhimmitude, has set back the women's movement is all Islamic nations. Furthermore, she has given tacit support to the entire it's-Allah's-will-that-Islam-dominate-the-world mindset of a significant number of Muslims.
And one more thing....Pelosi is promoting a shadow government. International negotiations are the domain of the executive branch.
It leaves me amazed that we could elect such types! Scary!
It is a crime that Pelosi has intentionally sabotaged U.S. foreign policy in order to grandstand the president.
Our country has worked very hard to isolate Syria because of its contributions to instability in Lebanon and Iraq. We got our European and Arab allies to comply, but she turns around and gives a pseudo-state visit to Syria even though they have not fixed a single item that we have complained about.
She then went on to misrepresent the president and Israel, on whos’ behalf she spoke for.
As you mentioned AC, Olmert stated that Pelosi’s visit was a mistake and that she misquoted him because he clearly stated to her that Israel would make no new policy change to accommodate Syria. Instead she told Assad that Israel was ready for peace talks without reiterating the conditions for the talks which Assad is not willing to comply with. So she created the illusion that Israel dropped those conditions and forced Olmert to publicly refute her message.
(The conditions for peace talks are the following; “…cease its support of terror, cease its sponsoring of the Hamas and Islamic Jihad organizations, refrain from providing weapons to Hizbullah and bringing about the destabilizing of Lebanon, cease its support of terror in Iraq, and relinquish the strategic ties it is building with the extremist regime in Iran.”)

Then Pelosi turns around and insinuates that she was there in harmony with President Bush by saying that, “there is absolutely no division between this delegation and the president of the United States on the issues of concern.”

The fact that she went on an official visit against the president’s wishes was a major issue of concern for Bush and our policy towards Syria. She has no right to speak for the president under these circumstances.
This woman has overstepped her position and should step down as Speaker of the House.

People who can kill there own children in the name of "honor" have no idea of what honor is all about. They are insane and as as far away from God as anyone can get, but of course we all know that!
People like Pelosi are in the same boat because they are enablers.
