TRUE ALLIES

Since 9/11 no other country has stood by United States as the Britts have.
But now it appears that oil trumps friendship.
Or does it?
One must ask why our closest ally would release the Lockerbie bomber knowing full well there would be repercussions in their relationship with the United States.
Is it possible that maybe the Obama presidency has caused the British to lose confidence that the US will be there if Britain
needed our help?
The new government in Japan has already clearly stated that they desire a new and more independent relationship with the United States.
Israel, another close ally, is also wary of the new Obama administration as demonstrated by this statement from National Union MK Aryeh Eldad"he is prone to buying the Arabs' favors with Israeli currency."
So as much as I want express my anger to Britain, I think it right well be the new administration is changing a lot more than even most Democrats would prefer.
