Shakedown:Imams Looking to Get Paid

According to CAIR, the Imams were wrongly removed from US Airways and they were not acting suspicious. Now they are seeking a "mutually agreeable" solution.

Mutually Agreeable must be an Islamic term for MONEY

"With the hopes of reaching an amicable resolution to this matter, we would like to take this opportunity to ask for a formal meeting with US Airways executives and legal counsel," said Arsalan Iftikhar, CAIR's national legal director, in a letter to the airline.

How about an amicable resolution for the passengers who were forced to endure this staged publicity event and possibly future terrorist run?

The Washington Times first reported on Nov. 28 that the imams were not in their assigned seats, but seated in a formation similar to the September 11 hijackers and controlled the exits to the plane. The men also requested seat-belt extensions but did not appear to need them, and engaged in conversations critical of the United States, according to police reports and eyewitness statements…

Federal air marshals and pilots called the imams’ actions a probe of airport security as well as a probe of the politically correct mentality of air passengers…

An airline spokeswoman says they have received the request from CAIR for a meeting, as well as a meeting request from Rep.-elect Keith Ellison, Minnesota Democrat, the first Muslim elected to Congress, but no date has been set.

None of this ever needed to happen. The Imams could have boarded the plane and acted like the Americans they claimed to be. Yet they chose to make a spectacle. Why? Turns out among those attending their conference was Rep.-elect Keith Ellison, D-Minn., who will be the first Muslim sworn into Congress (with his hand on the Quran). Two days earlier, Ellison, an African-American convert who wants to criminalize Muslim profiling, spoke at a fundraiser for the Council on American-Islamic Relations, the Muslim-rights group that wasted no time condemning US Airways for "prejudice and ignorance."

And now they want to get paid..

I wonder what price they will put on their so-called religious freedom?

What a sham.

Hi, AC.

This makes me want to puke on their heads! Sorry... but that's exactly the way I feel. They absolutely did stage this entire thing, and I'll bet it was ochestrated by CAIR in the first place. CAIR should be outlawed! Why are we putting up with such blatant nonsense anyway?

The airline must win; if not, they will lose many paying customers. All airlines will, should they be forced to allow this type of behavior. But I can't even imagine it; no rational American is going to sit next to people like this on a flight.

Got to run. Doing my Christmas shopping today.

Give them credit nanc, they are very adept at using our system against us. Pretty scary when you think what their ultimate goal is.

CAIR didn't win this one, a few years ago (2000) when they sued an airline when a Muslim committed some in-flight hijinks:

America West won the lawsuit. Al-Qudhai'een was later deported to Saudi Arabia.

But I'm not so sure about this time, especially since the November elections.
