Ahmed Bedier Finally Responds

After repeatedly ignoring my comments and blocking all negative responses at his blogsite...Ahmed Bedier has finally responded.

Here is the video I repeatedly tried to comment on. It can also be found on YouTube but again comment moderation has been enabled.

Did you even listen to the Pope's comments? He was reciting a document nearly 700 years old. He was not expressing his own views but of course this has gone completely over your head. You say that a "few Muslims" have burned a "few houses of worship"?
Doesn't the hypocrisy of this statement make you feel ashamed? Churches and synagogues have been burned down in vast numbers in Gaza, Serbia, Indonesia, Iraq, Iran, Egypt, Turkey, Afghanistan, and in just about any other Muslim country you can think of.
That you say only a few Muslims acted violently towards the pope's comments again shows either a selective memory or a purposeful attempt to deceive. Anger broke out throughout Europe, Southeast Asia and throughout the Middle East. These were large-scale demonstrations and some were surely supported by the governments of certain Islamic countries.
Please speak the truth.

American Crusader: I'm speaking the trut and speaking out. If you unplug your ears and stop being selective, you'll clearly hear me denouncing violence. I said that Muslims MUST NOT use violence when accused of being violent.

What's your problem?

You have a very distorted view of history. The entire world knows that it was Christian Serbs who massacred, raped and destroyed Muslim Bosnians.

In reaction to the recent attacks on Churches in Palestine, not only did we speak up against it, but we also raised the money and I personally delivered $5000 to the Catholic Charity for the repair of churches.

What have you done, but run your mouth, how are you helping bring people together. You and your buddies are only spewing hatred. Your comments are only one sided hate speech.

Why don't you read over the history of Jews in Christian Europe and compare that to the history of Jews in the Muslim lands, like the Golden Era of Jews in Spain, Egypt and Turkey.

The following list contains all the responses/comments found at YouTube. It's pretty obvious that free speech is not one of Ahmed Bedier's favorite freedoms.

What a reasonable statement. This Muslim man must have an international stage where the world can hear him. Kudos to CAIR.

hishoo (2 weeks ago)
Very positive presentation. Hope the world gets it.

GraBear (2 weeks ago)
That is the best speech I have heard so far.

KCtheKat (6 days ago)
Very well spoken, I wish your hopes and wisdom could ring around the world, and allow the misguided ones to hear your words. It is good to hear positive comments during these troubled time. (pbuy)

Why not allow all comments? Are you afraid of an open dialog?

News Advisory:

On Tuesday, October 24, the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) will hold a news conference in Washington, D.C., to release the results of a survey of American Muslim voters.

CAIR recently commissioned a scientific survey of 1000 registered Muslim voters that asked questions related to demographic profiles, political leanings and levels of social integration. (Respondents were randomly drawn from a pool of some 400,000 registered Muslim voters.)

I'm more interested in the opinions of those that aren't registered voters and who fly under the radar.
I'm sure that CAIR has constructed the questions so as to provide what ever answer/response they are looking for.
Another PR event.

you are a gutsy one, a.c. - good for you! i sent youtube a complaint as to bedier's selective comments.

Great job turning on the heat and attacking. The one disadvantage he has is the defense. He must reamin calm and cool. All he needs is an unruly outburst and the flank is exposed. Keep it up. Anything I can do?

Good job, AC! Thumbs up! I couldn't believe he said "a few" Muslims and "a few Mosques" either. What an absurd understatement. If there are any moderate Muslims out there, then they are afraid to speak up, and I'm not sure I blame them, but they must declare themselves sooner or later, and the sooner the better. I'm beginning to believe they don't exist!

'stop being selective' (?)

'What have you done, run your mouth'
An accusational responce,
(sounds like a liberal)

'You and your buddies are only spewing hatred. Your comments are only one sided hate speech.'

Another accusation, and at that against people he doesn't even know!
Only? We are and the fine American
Crusader here are revealing the TRUTH about Islam an it's ideals.

All you do is defend yourself, accuse, deny and attack others.

You have NO defence!

FTGF!

Help me understand this. You don't like someone quoting a 700 year old document. You want the world to beleive yours is a peaceful religion. So you commit acts of violence (?).

God Bless America, God Save The Republic.

Crusader,
The following list contains all the responses/comments found at YouTube. It's pretty obvious that free speech is not one of Ahmed Bedier's favorite freedoms.

Like that's a surprise? I posted a comment or two at YouTube to another of Bedier's videos. My comments, much more "delicate" than yours, never appeared. It seems to me that the moderator is interested primarily in sycophantic comments. Hardly in the tradition of free speech!

Bedier said, You and your buddies are only spewing hatred.

Now, why does that sound so familiar? Hmmmm? Oh, I know! It's in one of my books on logic. Let's see...Ad hominem, Red herring. What else?

Telling stuff, Crusader! Thank you for posting this.

Addendum: I see that Bedier didn't mention the Islamic concept of abrogation of verses.

Crusader,
I posted a blurb about this.

The talks about the $5,000 CAIR gave to the Pope (which should have been refused) like this was some major contribution. How far will that go to replace Father Alexander(Fr. Paulos Iskander a prominent Assyrian priest who was beheaded last week along with his arms and legs?
How about the 14-year-old Christian boy who was crucified in the Christian neighborhood Albasra?
Or the Buddhist monks who were killed in India?

AOW...he now moderates all comments.
So much for his call for an open dialog.

AC: Your blog has become a hot topic. Maybe you'll be getting some important viewers soon. Take that one as a definite, even though they may not comment.

But of course! He's starting fights all over videos on YT. I've chosen that route. As I notice from your post, my comments are certainly gone! No surprises there.

...it only takes a few to terrorize, and the spread of Islam depends on that fact.

I had seen Pim's comments the first time I visited YouTube after Steve had told me about the channel. I tried commenting but all comments were being moderated.
Later all negative comments had been removed and you can see what was left.
I've tried commenting at his blog, but this was the first time he responded to any of my posts.

Muslim Rioting Again Hits France

October 23, 2006 - San Francisco, CA - PipeLineNews.org - French police found themselves once again under attack by firebomb wielding North African Muslim immigrants on Sunday.

The Paris suburb of Grigny was the scene of the pitched battle which featured 50 Islamic youths rampaging through the streets taunting police, pelting them with rocks and torching passenger vehicles including a bus.

Fearing a repeat of last November's riots, the hard-line Action Police CFTC union urged interior minister Sarkozy - the leader of the right of center Gaullist Party - to make a show of force to head off any possible duplication of last year's street warfare which at the time the CFTC called an "insurrection" that resulted in 10 deaths, hundreds of serious injuries and millions of dollars in property damage.

AC, of course he's afraid of opening a dialogue. You've already opened it, he's communicated with you. He didn't like the truths you were offering to him so he closed it off--- opting to engage in a more moderated discourse--- more pro-islam, pro him.

That's ingrained in their very communicative style. When confronted with facts that confound or (worse yet) contradict their islamic beliefs the muslims cry "foul", claiming we're espousing "lies" and "distorting facts". They cannot adequately defend their islamic "religion of peace" rationale so they resort to defensive, accusatory dialogue. And, if totally frustrated they ignore the thread and report the authors to the moderators--- censorship, the product of irrational discourse.

The moderate muslim's rhetoric is shallow and narrowly interpreted, hence difficult to defend.

Their very silence and "look the other way" responses they afford when their more radical brethren slaughter, butcher, hang, behead, burn, rape, mutilate, kidnap and otherwise destroy are just as contributory to those tasteless, cowardly acts as those cowards who committed the acts themselves.

I truly appreciate you pulling these people out and away from their safety net and challenging them up front--- with facts that are clearly supported.

FACTS--- something they can't seem to provide us when engaged in a candid discussion in defense of islam.

Thanks for the good post.

fc...It looks like Paris is in for another fiery Christmas season. So much for Muslims respecting the rights of the host countries they live in.

Thanks all.

ttueoop and seth..thanks for the kind words. They are greatly appreciated. An open dialog is the only way to bridge differences. By posting only favorable comments, you are distorting the truth.

AC

I do understand his point about limiting dialouge. Most of us have moderation to a certain degree, largely because of one John Brown.

His answers are text book CAIR and refuted at the simplest level. Anyone who has read Bat Yeor can respond to the absudities he responded with.

The majority of the trolls are still Communists. We need to do a good job preparing for the Weazies
and Duckies that visit daily.

Do not expect courage from CAIR. All you will get is precanned answers that do not hold up to scrutiny.

Islam doesnt stand up well to critisism and therefore thrives in a censored enviroment. Robert Spencer has explained this at length and with excellent sources to back up his claim.

Islam doesnt believe in free will, all are destined by Allah. That my friends, is why we have a long battle ahead if we care about our freedom.

Crusader,
Now I notice that Mr. Bedier is attempting to ignore us.

Mistake!

At 9:54 AM, Blogger American Crusader said...

Beak..despite Mr. Bedier's assertion that CAIR is trying to build bridges, I believe they have a completely different agenda.
In my opinion they are trying to distort the truth for as long as possible while at the same time gaining political strength in the guise of a civil rights organization.

Kevin...I agree that Islam doesn't believe in free will. Islam is afraid to allow its followers to make decisions on their own. That is why there are countless fatwas on every subject imaginable.

AOW..with you and Steve and pim pressing forward, there is no way Mr. Bedier will be able to ignore us.
